Daniel Metevia

Metevia, Daniel “Mr. Dan” Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and dear friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was 66 years old. Daniel James Metevia was born on January 27, 1955 to the late Wilfred and Alvena (Cone) Metevia. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and furthered his education at Great Lakes Junior College. Dan's fun loving spirit and diligent work ethic will be greatly missed by staff and students at Saginaw Township Community Schools. Affectionately known as “Mr. Dan” to students and staff alike, Daniel worked for over 25 years within the school system and for the last few years at Hemmeter and Weiss Elementary Schools. In his free time, Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dan is survived by his siblings: Mark (Ilene Milsteen) Metevia, Lynn (Lanny) Hagon, Nannette (Fred) Bednarz and Wayne Metevia; niece, Lana (Michael) Pellegrini; nephews: James Bednarz and Steven Bednarz; many cousins, extended family and friends. According to Dan's wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life privately.
