Gary Morrissette

Morrissette, Gary A. Saginaw Twp., Michigan Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and dear friend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old. Gary Albert Morrissette was born on June 25, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Elizabeth M. “Billie” (Vrable) and Thomas Albert Morrissette. He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1959. Gary met the love of his life, Marsha Ebright at a friend's home on July 30, 1963, and from that moment a spark was lit. They were married on October 24, 1964 at St. John Catholic Church in Essexville. Gary worked for Saginaw Steering Gear, Plant #6 for over 30 years in Quality Control. Gary was a member of the U.A.W. Local #699. During his retirement Gary enjoyed ushering at the Dow Event Center. He enjoyed classic cars and loved driving his Corvettes that he owned throughout the years. Gary is survived by his wife, Marsha Morrissette; daughters: Shelly Morrissette and Stacey Miller; five grandchildren: Thomas (Lisa Hill) Morrissette, Andrew Morrissette, Kiersten (Adam) Reppuhn, Tyler Miller and Haley Miller; great grandchildren: Savannah Morrissette, Hayven and Hendrix Reppuhn; and many extended family and dear friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Timmy Paul Miller. SERVICE: A funeral liturgy for Gary will be held on 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.
