Richard Kleinebreil

Kleinebreil, Richard Gerard Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. He was 77 years old. Richard Gerard Kleinebreil was born December 14, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Norman and Laurina (Aikens) Kleinebreil. He married Wanda Early on February 23, 1963 in Amarillo, Texas. She preceded him in death in 2014. Richard was employed by City of Saginaw Waste Water Treatment Plant as a maintenance man, retiring after several years of service. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force as a maintenance technician on the B-52 Stratofortress. Richard was a faithful and active member of Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, the American Legion, Service Employees International Union, and the Knights of Columbus for many years. He loved fishing. Richard was artistic and enjoyed painting portraits and doing woodworking projects. He also enjoyed collecting coins over the past few years. But, what he really loved most was spending time with his family. Surviving are his children, Richard Kleinebreil, Christopher (Amanda) Kleinebreil, and Michael (Tanya) Kleinebreil; grandchildren, Vickie, Staci (Shawn), Justin, Gregory, Alison, Maeghan, and GraceAnne; great-grandchildren, Liam and Levi; siblings, Alice, Mary, Peter, Paul, Phillip, Charles, Michael, Donald, Theresa, and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his son, David Kleinebreil; siblings, Norman, Ann, Jim, Margaret, and Roy. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Avenue, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Thai H. Nguyen will officiate. Military honors will take place under the auspices of the United States Air Force and American Legion Post #439. In keeping with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Avenue, Saginaw on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption.
