Julia Nunez

Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Friday evening, April 16, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, she was 74 years old. Julia Miramontes was born January 9, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jesus and Felipa (Solis) Miramontes. She was a faithful and active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years. She loved going to play bingo. Julia also enjoyed listening to her CD's of Mexican music. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marcos (Regina) Yrlas, Raymond Yrlas, Alberto Nunez, Fernando Nunez, Linda Nunez; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Maria Sanchez, Josephina Miramontes, Delores (Joe) Solis; brother in-law, Victor Gomez and many nieces and nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her daughter, Yolanda Yrlas; brother, Jose Miramontes; sisters, Guadalupe Gomez and Consuelo Luna, and her niece Delores Espinosa. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Joseph Saginaw Parish, 910 N. 6th Avenue. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, O.F.M. Cap. will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
