Patricia Hegenauer

Our deeply loved and cherished Patricia Lee Hegenauer passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Patricia was born February 15, 1932 in the small town of Juhl, Michigan. One of five children of the late Phyllis (Anderson) Victor Nielsen. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1950. Patricia worked as a secretary for Cawood Car Dealership in Port Huron, Sargent Sand in Saginaw, and Second National Bank in Saginaw. On Labor Day Weekend in 1960 Gerald met Patricia for the first time. He knew Patricia would be the love of his life and on May 25, 1963 they were united in marriage at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Patricia was a beautiful young lady inside and out. Her blue eyes, dark hair and her sweet genuine smile would light up a room. She will be dearly missed. Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gerald Hegenauer; daughter, Lynn (Dan) Moore; son, David (Jennifer) Hegenauer; three grandchildren, Joshua (Jana) Moore, Nick Hegenauer and Abby Hegenauer; as well as Montana Boris and Danielle Moore; many nieces, nephews and special friend Katie Ainsworth. Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, two nephews and many close friends. In keeping with Patricia's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service is being planned at a later date. Patricia's cremated remains will be entombed in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
