Joyce Marie (Klemm) Chadwick was born June 5, 1934 and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1952. She married Richard M. Chadwick September 18, 1954. He predeceased her on May 20, 2001. She was a charter member of First Christian Church - West and served as music director for nine years. She was formerly a secretary for Bridgeport - Spaulding Schools, retiring in 1992. She loved, above all, her family. She was a PTA president, and received a Distinguished Citizen Award. Joyce was a vocalist for church and weddings and she played piano for the Saginaw High School choir, church, and Cub Scouts, but nothing was as important to her as her family and friends. Surviving are her beloved children, Richard (Patricia) Chadwick Jr. of Saginaw, Laura Chadwick of Saginaw, and Daniel Chadwick of Columbia, South America; grandchildren, Kristin Marie, Tricia Michelle (fiancé Kenton Lewis), Sean Michael, Michelle Joyce (Steve), and Marybeth Marjorie (Sam); precious great-grandchildren (who called her "Grandma Cookie"), Parker James, Piper Marie, Lincoln Thomas, Landyn Micheal, Luca John, and a great grandchild due in April; her extended family, Julie Chadwick and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her loving sister and best friend Marjorie (Bill) Daeschlein; Chuck (Sally) Chadwick, Ben (June) Chadwick, Joanne Chadwick, and Ron Chadwick. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Private Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wounded Warriors or Supporters of Hoyt Park. I am deeply saddened about the loss of Aunt Joyce. She was a dear person in my life.
As a child, she always made me feel special. Her blue eyes pierced deeply into my soul and let "Little Ronda" know that she was unconditionally loved. Childhood memories include specially selected and pleasantly wrapped birthday gifts that included a Hershey bar or other treat on top. At other times, she would drive from her house to ours on Harold Street to pick me up for church when my parents did not go.
Aunt Joyce radiated pleasantness and positivity. There was a pleasant inflection to her voice that made others feel happy around her. I will miss the unique laugh that seemed to come easily from her and reflected happiness from deep in her soul. Nobody laughed like Aunt Joyce and nobody ever will. Although my daughters did not spend much time with her, but she made an impact on them too. One daughter said that she was "super sweet" and the other, with tears in her eyes, described her as always cheerful. I am a better aunt myself because of her example.
By the way, her name was very appropriate. Aunt JOYce brought so much JOY. Now it is time for her to rest and reJOICE in heaven. We will miss her dearly.

I have known the Chadwick family my entire life. The Chadwick family and my family the Tafels went to First Christian Church on Burt and Genesee until the division of branches of the church. Joyce was a very sweet caring, funny and loving woman. I know my Mom Carol Tafel and I will miss her dearly. But now Joyce is Heaven with her Husband Dick and the rest of her family. Love you always Joyce. To the entire Chadwick family you have mine and my Mother Carol's unending love and comfort.

Thank you Ronda. This really touched my heart. I hope you know how much your Aunt Joyce loved you. You were her first little girl and she adored you. You could do no wrong in Aunt Joyce's mind your whole life. She was always proud of you and the woman, wife, mom and Grandma you blossomed to be. You have always had a very special place in my mom's heart. Love you Ronda!! :heart:
