Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. Karen Lee Vance was born on August 5, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Margaret Vance. Karen and Thomas Donald Reinke were married on January 31, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan. Karen and Tom celebrated their 62nd anniversary this year; she was the love of his life. She loved and cared for her family and friends, devoting herself to them as well as her church. Karen was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church and was involved with the Ladies Guild, Thursday Special, Vacation Bible School and served as the school librarian for Peace Lutheran. When she was not volunteering at the church or supporting her three sons in their various activities, she was working at the Thomas Township Library. Karen is survived by her husband, Thomas; her sons, Donald (Mandy) Reinke, Jim (Michele) Reinke, and Steven (Susan) Reinke; her grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Libby, and Lucy; and her brother, Larry (Dana) Vance. In keeping with Karen's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church at a later date. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Peace Lutheran Church. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family through www.DeislerFuneralHome.com.

Tom and Family, sending prayers for comfort and love from the Bale family. Karen was a part of the first few people we met when we came to Saginaw and joined Peace church. Immediately we loved both of you and always looked forward to our conversations and helping each other out. Looking forward to that big reunion in heaven someday. We hold onto and cherish fond memories until our Savior calls us home.
