Obituary
Curtis, Tammy Kay Saginaw, Michigan Tammy passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling cancer. She was 63 years old. Tammy Kay Morey was born on December 27, 1957 in Saginaw to the late Irwin and Martha (Noack) Morey. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1976. Tammy worked within childcare, and then at various homecare agencies as an administrative assistant. She married Jerry R. Curtis Jr. on December 24, 1983 at Faith Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. Tammy loved to spend time with her family and making everyone that she met feel welcome. She was very active within the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed taking trips to the casino and garage sales. Tammy also relaxed during family camping trips and enjoyed reading. She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church, Bridgeport. Tammy is survived by her husband, Jerry; together they were blessed with three children: Eric, Kyle and Brianne Curtis. She is also survived by her brother, Edwin "Douglas" (Margaret) Morey; sister, Connie (John) Powell; several nieces, a nephew and many dear friends. SERVICE: A funeral service for Tammy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport, MI 48722. Rev. Tim Behnke will officiate. According to Tammy's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, face masks are required, social distancing, and gathering guidelines will be observed. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI 48603. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw-McNally House. I use to work with Tammy in the 80's at Bay Valley. We both worked at the Front Desk, she was reservations secretary. We even went to a Bob Seger concert together. She was such a fun friend. I went to school with Jerry, so our friendship goes way back.
