John W. Sharar, Jr. passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at the age of 79. John was born May 20, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late John and Dorothy (Duby) Sharar Sr. He graduated in 1959 from Arthur Hill High School. John was united in marriage to the former Kathleen Meyers on March of 1964 in Frankenmuth, MI. He retired after 34 years at Eaton Corporation. John was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge 82 of Saginaw, MI. John is survived by his wife of 56 years; Kathy, three children; Tracy (Joey) Kendall, Timothy and Todd Sharar, three grandchildren; Wesley and Mason Weisenberger and Jayden Sharar, siblings; Jeanine Hutchinson, Jerry Sharar, Joanne (Dean) Zimmerman, Joyce Coe and James (Betty) Sharar and friend of the family; Richard Weisenberger. In keeping with John's wishes cremation has taken place and the family is planning a private service. Those wanting to do a memorial contribution are asked to consider the "Wishes of the Sharar Family". Deisler Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sharar family. Kathy and family, i am so sorry to read of Jack's passing. I grew up staying at Aunt Dort's overnight with my cousins, and of course i remember quite a bit of teasing throughout the afternoon and evening. I also remember that Jack was as good a dancer as Uncle Johnny was. Years and years ago when Eaton Manufacturing had the picnics and evening dances, at Winonah Beach in Bay City, and Jack and my Uncle Johnny would ask me to dance.. i may not have known what I was doing but they made me feel as tho I was a good dancer... I certainly loved them dearly, then as now.
My deepest sympathy's to all. May you have good memories to look back on so they may bring you peace and comfort at this difficult time.

I have many memories to hold close to my heart from over the years. Fun times at Houghton Lake, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, pool parties and outside picnics; being his babysitter; at his request, cooking him Mom's dumplings! Our phone conversations, or when we would sit on the porch, and talk about everything. Having Jack say, with a BIG grin on his face, "Hey Jo, got a song to sing for me?" My wedding day, when we danced…..he owned that dance floor. You always made me smile…..your beautiful sweet smile. Most of all, his unconditional love for the family, and a fighting-not giving up, believing spirit will always be imprinted on my heart. We celebrate your eternal life BIG brother. Rest in peace. You can now dance with joy before our Lord. Hallelujah! Jo
