Johnson, Douglas James Saginaw, Michigan Our family lost the most loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother. Douglas J. Johnson passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was 81 years old. Douglas was born on February 16, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Neil and Mary (Brad) Johnson. He married Susan Jean Zimmerman on December 23, 1976. They shared 45 amazing years together before she passed away on February 17, 2016. Douglas was employed by General Motors, until retiring after 32 years of service. He also loved working on vehicles and roofing. Douglas had a huge heart, he loved and cared about everyone. No matter the cost he always made sure no one went without. He had so much love for his family, was always there to love, support, and help them. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. But, his true love and passion was junking, he would never miss a day in his little blue truck. Surviving are his children, Melissa (Nathan) Mocco, Pebbles Johnson-Tappa (Jesse Erickson), Glen Johnson, and Michael (Christine) Johnson; daughter in-law Linda Johnson; grandchildren, Austin, Brenden, Audessa, William, Brook, Bambi, Adam, Ryan, Micheal, Brian, Connie and Reggie; (15) great grandchildren; siblings, Don Johnson and Clyde Johnson; many nieces and nephews and many other special relatives and friends. Douglas was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Johnson; his sons, Harry Johnson and Douglas Johnson Jr; his sister, Martha Evens; five brothers, William "Bill" Johnson, Thomas "Tom" Johnson, Arthur "Art" Johnson, Charles "Dick" Johnson, and Robert "Bob" Johnson; granddaughter, Crystal Johnson and his ex-wife, Judith Lambert. Douglas will be missed deeply by the ones that love him. They will forever cherish each and every memory shared with him. Douglas wished for no services, cremation has taken place. He wishes to be remembered, always for who he was. Deisler Funeral Home is honored to serve the Johnson family. I have so many special memories with my dad, the ones that mean the most is being with him the past year. We become best friends, watched r westerns together, set on the front porch drinking r coffee, out in the backyard around the fire, going junking every night. We shared one of the best summers of my life together. I love and miss you so much daddy! Life is never ever gonna be the same without you.

Our times with Doug, were always good times. Going junkin, laughing at silly things ppl say or do, but just sitting and having coffee with him, and talking about nothing in general is what we will miss the most:hearts:. We will miss you greatly Doug,but we will see you again one day:hearts::hearts:

My Father was a giver he made sure everyone was taken care of. He spent many years retired and he loved junking that was his favorite past time. I couldn't of asked for a better father by example the way he laughed and the way he loved.I didn't say goodbye I said I'll see you soon there was never no goodbyes with him. He loved to cook and he loved his children and grandchildren very much they were his world. That's the one thing I got lucky with a perfect dad couldn't ask for anything better. Doug was just an amazing person i was his little junking buddy he was like a grandfather to me spent 4 1/2 long years with this man he will be missed RIP DOUG I really miss you so much. You will be missed we all love and miss you so much Doug
