MacKenzie, Teresa Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 at her residence. She was 91 years old. Teresa Marshall was born August 14, 1929 in England. She came to the United States of America as a young girl. She married Houston (H.E) Drake. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1984. Teresa then married Robert MacKenzie in 1996. He passed away on February 1, 2012. Teresa was a successful business owner and operated three bars in Saginaw: Drakes, Paddock Lounge, and Rogs, retiring after many years. Surviving are her grandchildren, Eric (Rachel) Serres and Lisa (Roger) Drielick; great-grandchildren, Cody and Makenzy Drielick, Olivia and Safiya Serres; nephew, Allan (Linda) Marshall; niece, Pat Chappelle and many close friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her children, Frances Michael and Butch Thomas; her parents and siblings, and many other friends and loved ones. In keeping with Teresa's wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time. Deisler Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mackenzie family. Teresa Mackenzie...is Aunt Terry to me.
I have loved her since the first day I met her 60 years ago.
As a young Registered Nurse living in a small town Aunt Terry took me under hers and then husband H.E.wings and convinced me I should move to the USA
They sponsored me to emigrate and I entered the
USA in June 1977 and have enjoyed a very successful career and great life..
Aunt Terry was more like a mother to me and we have enjoyed many happy times together.
Though total opposites in several ways she became a great friend and confidante .
I have loved and appreciated her for 55years and I will miss her greatly for the remainder of my life..
She had a helluva life and left this world the exactly the way she wanted to thanks to her granddaughter Lisa and great granddaughter Kensy
I thank you both from the bottom of my heart and I know she is smiling on you both.
Out of a terrible loss I have gained two loving family members and look forward to many years of new memories.
I will miss all of our conversations aunt Terry

Terry was a very wise and nice person. I purchased Rogs Bar from her and Bob in 2011, she often gave me advice on business issues. Terry continued to support Rogs for the next ten years , all the other patrons loved it when Terry came in. Terry always tipped the bartenders well. She will be missed by many at Rogs and by everyone who got to know her. God doesn't make em like that any more. I feel lucky to have met Terry.May she rest in pease. It seems like we have known Terry forever.
