Obituary
Robert Charles Adams of Saginaw Township passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper at the age of 69 years old. Robert was born January 4, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Matzke) Adams. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School. Robert continued his education at Delta College where he became the proud founder of Chug-a-Lug Sorority. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert was united in marriage to the former Cathie Fox in Flint, Michigan in 1973; she preceded him in death on January 11, 2010. He enjoyed playing golf and cars. Robert continued his parent's legacy by running and managing the Red Horse Bar until his retirement about 10 years ago when his sons took over the family business; which has been going strong for 90 years and counting. He loved being around people and socializing; he will be dearly missed. Robert is survived by his two sons; Christopher (Yasmin) Adams and Nicholas Adams, granddaughter; McKenna Adams, grandson, Dakota Smith a sister; Cynthia Steller-Adams, niece, Jessire Ramos and a special friend Roxanne Strunk. Besides his parents Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Cathie. In keeping with Robert's wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Visitation is being planned for at a later date. I am sorry to hear of Bob's (Charilie) passing! I spent every weekend out at the Horse in the 90;s and he was always so kind and a gentleman to me! He was liked by all and I feel bad for his boys and the rest of his family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers!
