Obituary
Richard Yacobellis of Saginaw Township passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare Hospital at the age of 63 years. Richard was born August 29, 1957 in Nashville, TN the son of Paul and Gilda (Belviso) Yacobellis. He proudly served in country in the United States Army. Richard was united in marriage to Laura Raese on August 20, 2016 in Freeland, MI; she survives him. He retired in 2004; working most of his life as a machinist. Richard was a car enthusiast and loved being outdoors working in his yard. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family; especially the grandchildren. Richard is survived by his loving wife; Laura, two sons; Anthony I and John (Jessica Truckner) Yacobellis, five grandchildren; Anthony II, Alexia, Caiden, Ashton and Christian, siblings; Patricia (Richard) Haffling, Paul Yacobellis and Billy (Josephine) Young and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a brother, David Young.
FUNERAL: A memorial service will take place at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) with Chaplain Janet Myers to officiate. Military honors will conclude the services under the auspices of the United States Army and VFW Post 1859. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 2:00 PM until the time of service. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, face masks are required, social distancing, and gathering guidelines will be observed.

My dear brother I have no words to describe how I feel. I'm in shock, I prayed that you would make it and live a long healthy and happy life. I keep remembering you first as a little boy with such a sweet smile and then when you were older and all the fun we had especially at Mom's house and no one could make me laugh like you did, you were the life of the party. Now because of this evil virus we can't even come and see you. You were loved my brother and will always be remembered. So many people prayed for you. Rest in eternal peace until we see you again. I love you.
