McInerney, Dennis L. Frankenmuth, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his home. He was 63 years old. Dennis Leo McInerney was born on June 16, 1957 in Saginaw to the late Frederick and Marie G. (Haremski) McInerney. Dennis was involved with SPRED (Special Religious Education), a Catholic organization that works with those with special needs. This organization meets monthly to pray, study the Bible, socialize, celebrate holidays and enjoy time with one another, for over 40 years. Dennis attended the Millet Learning Center, and also worked for SVRC for many years, retiring in 2010. Dennis spent the last 13 years at Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Frankenmuth, where he enjoyed his fellow housemates and staff. He loved to bowl, swim, attend potlucks, church gatherings, dining out with family and friends, and listening to music, especially Lawrence Welk. Dennis is survived by his brothers: Richard McInerney and his wife, Kristine of Frankenmuth, David McInerney and his partner, Susan DeGenring of Longmont, CO; nephews and niece: Michael McInerney, Megan, Matt and Peter McInerney and Bruce (April) Polaske; many extended family and dear friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Susan McInerney. Dennis' family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and housemates at Bethesda Lutheran Communities for all of the care and support provided to Dennis and his family in the last few years. FUNERAL: Due to the current pandemic, a private funeral service will be held for Dennis at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI. Sr. Margo Tafoya will officiate with entombment to follow in St. Andrew Mausoleum. I remember Dennis, mostly when he was a child. When I picture him I see Dennis and my Dad having fun, rough housing on the floor. He had a gentle spirit and a smile for everyone he met. My thoughts and prayers are with Richard, David, his family and friends.

Heather and I knew Dennis through the St Lorenz Breakthrough bible class. He was such a gentleman with a kind spirit. He will be missed but we'll see him in Heaven
