Anna Buggia

Buggia, Anna Mary of Saginaw passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. She was 93 years old. Anna was born on December 1, 1926 in Ephrata, PA the daughter of Paul and Ada (Erb) Mohler. She graduated from John P. McCaskey High School, class of 1944, Lancaster, PA. Anna than went on to attend Lancaster General Hospital, School of Nursing, class of 1947. She also enrolled into the Army Nurse Cadet Corp. in 1944. Anna was united in marriage to Lawrence Buggia on October 11, 1947 in Flint, MI; he preceded her in death on December 12, 1993. Anna was employed with Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center; Ward 4B in 1966 until her retirement in 1976. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and was also very active member. Anna enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching game shows and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Anna is survived by her four children; Lawrence Jr., Mary Anne, Paul and Linda, five grandchildren; Adam and Nathan Buggia, Christina Becker, Gabriel and Zachary Sorrentino, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides Anna's parents and husband Lawrence, she was preceded in death by four sibilings; Helen Talbutt, Mildred Brown, Harold V. Mohler and Marian Varner. VISITATION: A visitation for Anna will take place Monday, September 14, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). In keeping with According to State mandated regulations, masks will be required, social distancing will be observed and limitations on numbers gathered will be in place.
