Gohm, Carol Louise Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her home. She was 73 years old. Carol Louise Gillig was born January 30, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Reuben and Linda (Weinmueller) Gillig. She attended the University of Illinois, earning her PhD. She was employed by the University of Mississippi as a professor of psychology, before retiring. Carol was an active member of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Saginaw Valley State University. She loved reading, researching topics, and learning new things. Carol also enjoyed gardening and traveling. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Amy (Fiancé Scott Gilginas) Wolcott, Steve Gohm, and Craig Gohm; grandchildren, Charlotte, Isabelle, Alivea, Clara, Emily, Nicholas, Nathan, and Lucas; siblings, Bruce Gillig, Mike Gillig, Katherine Sabgash, Louise Morningstar and many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Gillig. FUNERAL SERVICE: In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Sorry to learn we lost Carol. She was a super student, and delightful alumnus of our Psychology program at SVSU. I always enjoyed our chats when our paths crossed. We were proud of her accomplishments. She was a good person who will be missed.

My heart is heavy with grief upon hearing of Carol's passing. I met through the OLLI program at SVSU. she was an excellent teacher. She will be missed.
