Farmer, Robert Lee Sr. (Big Rob) Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and dear friend passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Miami, Florida. He was 60 years old. He was born August 8, 1960 in Coldwater, Mississippi to Leslie and Lenora (Burton) Farmer. Robert attended Saginaw High School. He was a chef for over 35 years, and was lead cook at Elias Brothers Big Boy Restaurant on Holland Ave. in Saginaw. He was also employed at The Restoration Outreach Center (R.O.C.) of Saginaw. Big Rob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and would do anything for them. He loved doing auto repair, playing card games with his baby sister, Emma and his aunt, Josephine Shaw. Robert was a father figure to a lot of people including his niece, Lakisha (Tootie) Famer. Big Rob will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed by his children: Robert Lee Farmer, Jr., Ronald Lee Farmer, Jaden Rodney Thomas-Farmer, Robby Lee Thomas-Farmer, Robin Leyona Thomas-Farmer, Jada Griffin and Shantaria (Diamond) Smith; his mother, Lenora Farmer; sisters: Lillie Jackson, Bessie Farmer and Emma Farmer; brothers: Willie Earl Farmer and Leslie (Niny) Farmer, IV; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including special friends/brothers: Frank Pulliam and Robert Goldsberry; and other special friends: Hattie Davis and Serina Thomas. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Farmer, III; grandparents: Jessie Mae and Leslie Farmer, Jr., Willie and Mary Burton; brother, Henry Lee Famer; special aunt, Rose Mary Hardin; special cousin, John Burton; special friends: Freddie and Moses Mitchell. Special thanks to Mary Aldridge and the staff at Deisler Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Services are pending at this time and will be announced at a later date.
