North, Kathleen M. Saginaw, Michigan Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and sister passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. She was 73 years old. Kathleen Mary Gross was born April 19, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Christopher and Evelyn (Potier) Gross. She married Larry North on November 6, 1965 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2001. Kathleen was employed by Covenant Healthcare at their Childcare Center, retiring after several years. Kathleen loved her birds and her dogs. She also enjoyed gardening. But, what Kathleen really loved most, was spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Wendy (Tim) Garinger, Michelle (Jeffrey Rose) Thompson, and Michael (Tobey) North; grandchildren, Katie, Aaron, Jacob, Joshua (Haley), Logan, Travis, Morgan, Justin (Alyssa), and Kylie; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Aubrei, Alexus, Ryland, Brayden, and Hannah Grace; sisters, Linda (Bob) Wright and Laurie (Dave) Kelso; several brothers and sisters in-law, many nieces and nephews and her best friend in the whole world, Don Jackson. Kathleen was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Brittany and Hannah; great-grandson, Jordan; brother, Dale Gross; sister, Suzanne Wenzel. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Private Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family c/o Michael North. My heart is breaking Mama. I miss you so! :sleepy::broken_heart:You didnt deserve any of the pain & suffering you went through. Im so sorry you had to do it alone. Hi Michelle - you don't know me - I am a past close friend of your mom - our friendship started way back in our childhood - we were neighbors living with our parents on S. Center Rd. Your mom and I had a friendship for several years - did many fun things together like riding horses on my parent's farm across the road - your mom liked riding one of our horses named Bonnie Bell - also things like roller skating at a public place called Brockway - hayrides - teenage dances - we even dressed alike for our Senior prom - same dresses, just different colors ! I also was a bridesmaid for your mom and dad's wedding - so many memories - your tribute you wrote for her here was so heartbreaking yet beautiful - be proud of the words you said - I really believe she knows - I really wanted to reach out to you here in this small space so you would know how sad I am with you - I live at Rainbow Lake in Perrinton Mi. now, but her passing took me right back to those days - she was always friendly and I know how she loved you - saw you a couple times when you were little - really hope this message reaches you - again, I'm so sorry you lost her - I totally understand what you are going thru and so wanted you to know - my name is Connie (DeShone) Thurston.

Wendy, Michelle, Michael, so sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mom and Dad were so good to my children when they provided day care so I could teach school. We will always be grateful for their help.
