Markey, Dennis James "Denny" Saginaw Township Our brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his residence. He was 66 years old. Dennis James Markey was born December 17, 1953 in Saginaw, to the late Dr. Francis and Muriel (Fisk) Markey. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and went on to attend college at Ferris State University. Denny was employed for many years by Fordney-Cady PC and the P.F. Markey Company, Inc. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially the University of Michigan, the Detroit Tigers, where he never missed opening day and, sadly, the Detroit Lions. Denny never missed a good time or a great meal. He was surrounded by a large circle of friends and family. Surviving are his siblings, Paul Markey, Ann (Gary) Hartmann, and Mony Wolf; nephews, Stefan Markey, Gregory Hartmann, Matthew Hartmann, Michael Wolf, Henry Wolf, and many close friends. Denny was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Markey and his brother in-law, Randy Rieck. MEMORIAL SERVICE: In keeping with Denny's wishes, cremation has taken place. My deepest sympathy to the Markey Family on Denny's Passing. It just seems like yesterday, although I believe it was in May, that I ran into Denny at the Kroger store and had a fun conversation with him. No matter what was going on in life, Denny's upbeat personality always shined through.
Rest in peace my friend, see you when I get there!
