Obituary
Leo, Barbara Sue Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away with her family by her side on Thursday evening, May 21, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was 85 years old. Barbara was born March 28, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Adolph and Mildred (Bell) Czada. Barbara attended the University of Michigan, earning a master's degree in social work while raising five children on her own. She was employed by Boysville Home for over 20 years when she retired. She then worked for A&D Home Healthcare and retired at the age of 80, where she made a positive impact on many, many lives. Barbara was involved in the CAN Council, the Humane Society, and the Red Hat Society for many years. She was admired for her love and commitment to her family. She had a love for animals, especially her cats, Gracie, Frenchie, Lochee, Ninja, and Angel. Barbara enjoyed gardening and painting. She also loved to travel. Barbara also enjoyed weekly luncheons and dinners with her lifelong friends. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, William (Lori) Mollhagen, Mark Mollhagen, Lynn (Beth) Hoffmann, and James J. (Stacie) Leo; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Sarah, Bryna, AuLaura, Mason, Shianne, and Ashlyn; great-grandchildren, Athena, Lillian, and William; brothers, David Czada and Dave "Sandy" Sandow; sister, Carol Masters. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Leo and her son, Scott Mollhagen. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Andersen Enrichment Center, 120 Ezra Rust Drive, Saginaw, MI 48601. Sharon Wahl will officiate. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, cremation has already taken place. Visitation: Family and friends will gather at the Andersen Enrichment Center, 120 Ezra Rust Drive on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. In keeping with mandated ordinances and for the safety of the community, masks are required and social distancing will be observed. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Humane Society or the CAN Council of Saginaw. I was in the process of trying to reach out to my dear friend Barb, and unfortunately read your obituary. One of my best friends, since 1980. You always made everyone feel so humane, as you would gracefully, and verbally directly showed others "the better way to cope with any situation". You always were ; dressed to kill for, bragging about your family, working at least 2-3 jobs, thinking about how to show your live to your loved ones ,laughing as we watched other people as well as ourselves,.... My late condolences go out to her children, as well as her grand and great grandchildren. You make a beautiful angel in heaven. We'll see you in the spiritual world. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your Mother. I have such wonderful memories of her when we would take our annual trips to Mexico. Barb was such a special lady and she will be greatly missed. :pray::heart:

Barb was a good friend to my husband Jim Minder and me back in the early days at Holland House. She was instrumental in getting the Boysville community services program off the ground, and she always had a smile for everyone. My condolences to all of you in her family.
