Obituary
Crampton, Daniel Thomas of Saginaw Township passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at his residence. He was 89 years old. Daniel was born August 11, 1930 in Saginaw, MI the son of Leo and Hazel (Keenan) Crampton. Dan was united in marriage to the former Marlene Frick on November 8, 1952 in Saginaw, MI; she preceded him in death on October 17, 1991. On February 14th 1995 Dan was united in marriage to the former Joanne Stark; she survives him. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Dan retired after several years working for Honeywell. He enjoyed walking, riding bike, building things, hunting and golf ball hunting. Dan especially enjoyed traveling up north to his cabin in the summers and down to Florida in the winters. Dan is survived by his wife Joanne Stark-Hozesk-Crampton; daughter, Cheryl (Mike Brown) Fisher; three grandchildren, Joseph (Rachel) Fisher, Roeh Zakar and Racham Fisher; four step-sons, Jeffrey (Bridget) Hozeska, David (Mary) Hozeska, James (Jill) Hozeska and Patrick (Ana) Hozeska; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Marlene, Dan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly Fisher; three brothers and two sisters, James Crampton, Herb Crampton, Bonnie Miller, Dick Crampton and Sally Hagen. FUNERAL: A private family service to be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Father Jack Johnson to officiate with private burial to conclude in St. Andrews Cemetery. For those that are unable to attend you are welcome to join us remotely, the service will be livestreamed at 11:00 AM at http://client.tribucast.com/tcid/45418519 VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to visit Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Monday, May 18, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Due to the current health concerns and gathering limitations of 10 people, social distancing will be observed. Please be advised this may require you to stand outside or sit in your vehicle in order to insure the safely of all the family and staff. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I have fond memories of Dan, the summer time spent at the cabin in Hale. I remember the time we went fishing out on a boat and I time I retrieved a hook for him. The time the back window in his convertible wouldn't zip close. My thoughts and prayers are with Cheri and the family.

Cheri, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I was afraid of him, but sooo many memories. The mini bike he bought you for your birthday! We rode that everywhere! I was afraid to go back to the cabin after I crashed it and laid your toe open. He drove us down back roads and we collected rocks with your mom. The New Year's party you had and broke your ankle while they were at the cabin and they had to drive Crackerbox back to Saginaw in the middle of the night. He had a strong heart to survive your childhood and early adulthood.

I have great memories of my uncle Dan from as far back as I can remember.
