Dorr, Delores Ann "Dee Dee" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years old. Delores Ann Agnew was born on March 10, 1936 in Saginaw to the late Donald and Pauline (Stevens) Agnew. Delores was the oldest of 12 siblings, and graduated from Saginaw High School. She married her high school sweetheart, James Richard "Jim" Dorr, on October 27, 1956 in Saginaw. Delores worked with her husband, Jim, as a bookkeeper at Dorr Auto Parts for over 20 years. Together they raised their boys and enjoyed playing cards and socializing with their family and friends. Jim preceded her in death on February 21, 1983. After his death, she worked for NBD Bank as a loan officer until her retirement in 1999. Delores loved to listen to Elvis music. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, siblings and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching her grandson play hockey and attended many Saginaw Spirit games. Delores was well known for her cooking and baking, especially her coconut cream pie. She also spent many hours playing cards. Delores is survived by her sons: James Richard Dorr Jr. and John Robert (Sarah) Dorr; grandchildren: Emmalie and Ethan; siblings: Carol (Ken) Hunter, Gary E. (Helen) Agnew, Judy L. (Jerry) Rethman, Virginia Mickey, Nancy Armstrong, Diane Naleson, Sandra (Dennis) Siegreen, Paula Jean (Dave) Rappuhn and Cindy (Chuck) Hill. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters: Marilyn (Rollie) Gueldenzopf and Donna Armstrong; in-laws: Nelson Armstrong, Robert Naleson, Pat and Larry Chinery. FUNERAL: A funeral for Delores will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Sam Burke will officiate. Cremation will follow the service and Delores' cremated remains will be buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISTIATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Heart Association. To my Sister we had our ups and downs but I would never trade you for a million years.It was fun living down the street from you for 20 some years. I will miss you with all my heart.
