Erwin Zeitz

Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2020 at his home. He was 82 years old. Erwin George Zeitz was born on April 14, 1937 in Saginaw to the late Dorothy Mable (Stockford) and George Paul Zeitz. He married Joyce Mae Manchester on December 1, 1956; they shared 56 years together. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2013. Erwin enjoyed car rides all over Michigan, eating at Big Boy, playing piano, and his family--especially his grandkids. Surviving are two daughters and three sons: Mark (Vicki) Zeitz, Melissa Zeitz, Kevin (Yolanda) Zeitz, Dean Zeitz, and Misty (Johnson) Zeitz; fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Erwin was preceded in death by his daughters Becky Jo Zeitz and Pamela (Ron, deceased) Walters; brother, Gerald Zeitz; infant great-granddaughter, Laura Pamela Harriet Ray; and beloved cat, Pusa. FUNERAL: Erwin's funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
