Carolyn Huron

Huron, Carolyn (Rocha) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old. Carolyn Mary Rocha was born on September 26, 1930 to the late Augustine and Socorro (Torres) Rocha. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1948. Carolyn worked for George's Cleaners after high school and that is where she met the love of her life, Thomas C. Huron, they married on February 14, 1953, he preceded her in death on September 3, 2006. She loved to crochet, sew, garden, fish and study natural healing. She was also famous for making her delicious tamales. Carolyn enjoyed watching the Tigers play baseball. Most of all she loved her family and her Lord. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a prayer warrior for many. She is survived by her daughters: Susan (Ted) Kessler of Ionia, Denise (Victor Gomez) Doozan of Saginaw; grandchildren: Justin (Melissa) Kessler, Kara (James) Rowley, Lauren (Tony) Couls, Julia (Brandon) Bowker, Andrew (Sylvia) Doozan and Matthew (Katie Krajniak) Doozan; great grandchildren: Mirielle, Adrienne, Maddox, Henry, Louise, Hudson, Grayson, Leah, Olivia, Vanessa and Thomas; siblings: Lupe Gayton, Mary (Bill) Patino, Geraldine (Joe) Trevino, Ramona (Mike) Jerome, Angie (Andy Coulouris) Rocha. Carolyn is also survived by the Rendon and Huron families, many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Jennie Lerma, Peter Rocha, John Rocha, Anthony Rocha, Paul Rocha and Dorothy Rocha; and son-in-law, Mark Doozan. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. Sixth Street, Saginaw MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFMCap, will officiate. Rite of committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Carolyn will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
