Beverly Leitner

LEITNER, Beverly "Bev" Merrill, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Masonic Pathways, Alma. She was 90 years old. Beverly Yvonne Milholin was born on December 14, 1929 in Sandusky, Michigan to the late Robert and Fidelia (Faupel) Milholin. She married Samuel Charles Leitner on June 21, 1952; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2014. Sam and Bev moved to Gladwin after they were married. In 1969, they moved their family to Merrill where she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her witty spirit will be deeply missed. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, cooking and baking. Bev was a faithful member of Hemlock United Methodist Church. She is survived by her three children: Debbie (Rex) Wolfe from Merrill, Judy (Ron) Poyer from Merrill, and Jeff (Cathy) Leitner from Green Bay, WI; five grandchildren: Adam (Amy) Siler, Nicole Wolfe and fiancé, Jacob Wale, Courtney (Miguel) Atkinson, Taryn (Wade) Brown, and Abbey Leitner; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Clark (JoAnn) Milholin, Bruce (Joyce) Milholin, Gloria Ulrich, Marlene (Steve) Perry and Marsha (Dan) Cassiday; brother-in-law, Wayne Leitner; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brothers: Max and Robert Milholin; and brother-in-law, William Ulrich. MEMORIAL: Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Hemlock United Methodist Church, 406 West Saginaw Street, Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate. Cremation has taken place. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Hemlock United Methodist Women.
