Eugenio Casas

Casas, Eugenio Cuellar Jr. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully early Monday morning, January 20, 2020 at Avista Nursing and Rehab. He was 71 years old. Eugenio was born July 9, 1948 in San Rafael, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Eugenio and Guadalupe (Cuellar) Casas. He married Margarita Casas on March 12, 1970 in Weslaco, Texas. He was employed by General Motors, retiring in 1996. He loved watching baseball games. Eugenio also enjoyed dining at his favorite restaurant, El Rancho Grande. But, what He really loved most was traveling to Texas to visit his family. Surviving are his wife, Margarita; children, Raul Casas, Victoria Torrez, Margarito (Micaela) Casas, Sonya Casas, Eugenio (Laura) Casas III, Jose and Angelo Tello, Sofia (Daniel) Alvarez, and Oscar Lopez; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brothers, Humberto (Maria) Casas and Jorge (Virginia) Casas; his sister, Mariana (Ricardo) Longoria and many nieces and nephews. Eugenio was preceded in death by his brothers, Raul Casas, Dionicio Casas, and Margarito Casas. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Jose M. Cabrera will officiate. Rite of Committal to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The National Kidney Foundation.
