Celedonia Vasquez

Vasquez, Celedonia "Sally" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2020. She was 86 years old. Celedonia Espinoza was born on March 3, 1933 in Saginaw, MI to the late Ricardo and Delores (Jiminez) Espinoza. She married Jose Vasquez on February 21, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on May 2, 2003. Sally worked for Tri-City SER for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed participating with the County League of Catholic Women. Sally was a movie buff, game show whiz, bingo queen, book worm and enjoyed her novelas. She enjoyed trips to the casino and was passionate about spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her children: Joseph (Lupe) Vasquez, Robert Vasquez, Joanne Vasquez, Cathy Garcia, Jacqueline (Steve) Rodriguez, Rosemary (Ronnie) Smith, Benjamin Vasquez, Jeannie Vasquez and Stephanie Vasquez; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Lucio and Josephine Romero; also many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James Vasquez; brothers: John David and Richard Espinoza. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Sally will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFMCap will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
