Gerald Claus

Claus, Gerald Edward St. Charles, Michigan Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday evening, January 11, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare - Cooper Campus. He was 80 years old. Gerald was born September 22, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Molly (Lich) Claus. He married Wynette Elwell on May 1, 2000 in Saginaw, Michigan. Gerald owned CJ's Auto Service Center, retiring in 1997. He loved refurbishing old tractors. Gerald also enjoyed repairing and restoring cars. Surviving are his wife, Wynette; children, Sally (Randy) Vollmer of Freeland and Jerri (Greg) Sierocki of Saginaw; Stepson, Scott Morton of Grand Blanc; three grandchildren; sister, Betty Moulton, and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, John Claus and his sister, Dorothy Blackwell. FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Ken MacGillivray will officiate. Entombment will follow at the St. Andrew Cemetery Mausoleum. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
