Mario Castillo

Passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare, Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 76. Mario was born in Saginaw on March 22, 1943 the son of Manuel and Escolastica (Guerra) Castillo. He was united in marriage to the former Oralia Garcia on December 18, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan; she survives him. Mario enjoyed sitting outside listening to his music, playing the maracas and working in his yard. Mario was a jack of all trades and a workaholic; he very rarely ever sat around doing nothing. But most of all he loved his "babies" dogs; Chumina, Reenee, Alex, Boomer and Elsie. Left to cherish Mario's memory is his wife, Oralia; his children, Lisa, Regina, Irene, Sylvia, Maggie, Alicia, Rebecca, Julien, Toni, Tony, George, Mario Jr., Susan and Norma; special grandson, Edward; special nephew, Frank; brother, Simon; two sisters, Martha and Maria; many, many, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mario was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Ulyssys and Alex and a brother, Louie. FUNERAL: Funeral Mass for Mario will take place Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFM Cap to officiate.
