Perkin, Flora "Jane" passed away unexpectedly early Friday, December 13, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare, Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 72. Jane was born June 20, 1947 in Libertyville, Illinois the daughter of Coy and Evelyn (Presson) Casper II. She graduated from Libertyville High School and went on to receive a Business Degree at Northern Illinois University. Jane was united in marriage to Darwin Perkin on April 28, 1984 in Libertyville, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling and going to her community Bible study group. Jane was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 439, Women's Auxiliary and the Town Hall (Town Talk). Jane is survived by her loving husband, Darwin; brother Leonard (Christine) Casper, daughter, Charlotte; six grandchildren, Kylie, Summer, Bear Thomas, Levi, Loran, and Elizabeth, brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen (Karen) Perkin and Marilyn (Jerry) Morgan and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, son, Noll and daughter Sarah. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Jane will take place Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway, Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Rob Schmidt will officiate. VISITATION: Friends may gather with the family Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services for Jane. My name is Elaine. I had the pleasure of being her peritoneal dialysis nurse while she was hospitalized at Covenant last week. I was so surprised and sad to hear of her passing. I remember watching Wheel of Fortune In her room with her and her husband. She was always smiling and so kind. My condolences to your family. You are in my prayers. God Bless

So sorry for your loss. Jane was a wonderful friend and I hold many wonderful memories of the laughter and hard work we did at St. Matthew's. She taught me so much about the workings of the alter service and was so patient and kind. I will truly miss her.

We just heard of Jane's death from the announcements at St. Matthew's this weekend. Darwin, we are so sorry for your loss. We have such fond memories of you and Jane attending the special services at Faith and, of course, hearing Jane read the lessons whenever we attended St. Matthew's. She was such a bright and friendly person, who was always welcoming and always seemed happy. May you be comforted by happy memories and the blessed assurance of Christ's resurrection victory.
