Nancy Cardenas

Cardenas, Nancy F. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old. Nancy Flores was born on February 1, 1931 in Texas to the late Pablo and Apolonia (Diaz) Flores. Nancy moved to Saginaw as a young girl and resided here the majority of her life. Her loving and kind spirit moved her to tend to those in need as a nurse's aide. She had a deep love for her Lord and was a strong prayer warrior. Even into her last hours she continued to pray for family and friends. Nancy shared her love through preparing food for those who would visit, especially being known for her hot sauce and creating beautiful garments that she enjoyed sewing. She is survived by her children: Manuel (Joyce) Cardenas, Maria (Ralph) Rosas, Enrique (Joyce) Cardenas, Edwardo Cardenas and Raquel (Robert) Limon; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; siblings: Virginia Acosta, Eva Villanueva, Xavior Flores and Sylvia Santoya. Nancy is also survived by a special niece, Melissa Flores; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Anita Espinoza, Armando Flores; grandsons, Martin Rosas and Tim Wyatt. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Nancy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Jay Roussell will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. On Wednesday the family will share special memories at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
