Clara Williams

Clara Lee Williams of Bridgeport Township, Michigan fell asleep in death on September 6, 2019 at the age of 69. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Jessie and Viola (Gordon) Nelson. She is the second oldest of seven children. Her sister, Arbery Lewis, preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings, Emma Morris, Doris Stammers, Jessie Griffin, Maxine Pippins, and Sterling Nelson. Clara moved to Saginaw, Michigan, from Helena, Arkansas, in 1967. She faithfully served her God Jehovah as one of his Witnesses. She attended the Saginaw Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Clara enjoyed sewing and knitting. She loved cooking, entertaining, singing, and listening to music. Clara's children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three daughters and one son: Chenithia Nelson, Sharon (David) Vaughn, Stephenie White, and Winston Williams. Clara is also survived by eight grandchildren, Stefenie, Antione, Kendra, Stacee, Dae'Ja, Alexa, Alleyn, and Te'arijia; eight great grandchildren, Stephen, Samiya, Sagan, Autumn, Jayden, Christian, Taylor, Kendall Jr., and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Covenant Healthcare medical team for the wonderful and compassionate care given to their mother, Clara. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Horace Curry will officiate. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
