Obituary
Donna Jean Brandi of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Great Lakes Rehab Center. She was 88 years old. Donna was born on November 27, 1930 in Saginaw the daughter of the late Russell and Ina (Johnson) Packard. She was united in marriage to John "Jack" Brandi on April 28, 1951; he preceded her in death on January 11, 2015. Donna was a longtime member of St. Dominic Parish (St. Stephen Catholic Church). She enjoyed reading, playing cards and bowling, but most of all she loved God and her family. She will always be known as a loving mother, nunnie and great friend. Donna will be dearly missed. Surviving are three sons and two daughters: Jon (Dawn) Brandi of Defiance, OH, Donald (Lois) Brandi of Waterville, OH, Mary (Fred) Zingg of Saginaw, Alan (Susan) Brandi of Olathe, KS, and Krissy Brandi of Saginaw; 11 grandchildren: Brett (Tiffany) Brandi, Derek (Audrey) Brandi, Zachary Brandi, Lance Brandi, Jackie (Trevor) Keyser, Stephen Zingg, Crystal (David) Rankin, Jim (Amy) Temple, Shirley (Dan) Schaller, Tina (Tom) Kuron, and Erica Blake, 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Passariello and Mary Ellen MacConnel and two sister in-laws, Mary Jane McDonnell and Mary Lou (Pete) Peterson. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Jack, and two brothers, Russell and Gerald Packard. FUNERAL: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at St. Dominic Parish (St. Stephens Catholic Church), 1310 Malzahn St. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Rite of Committal to conclude at St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Donna will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Dominic Parish.
