Ayers, Matthew S. "Matt" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home. He was 50 years old. Matthew Stephen Ayers was born on April 8, 1969 in Saginaw to Jeanne (Burba) and Stephen S. Ayers. He graduated from Carrollton High School, and then attended Western Michigan University receiving his Associates Degree in Aviation Engineering. Matt worked for Covenant HealthCare for over 20 years in the Information Technology Department. He loved to camp, fish, golf, garden, he was an avid reader and loved caring for his pets. Matt loved to spend hours planning and cooking special events for his family and friends. He was a standing tall, proud Republican and enjoyed sporting events, especially the Red Wings. Matt is survived by his wife, Hollie Ayers; step-son, Hayden Bennett; mother, Jeanne (Randall) Parent; brother, Michael (Mandy) Ayers; step-sisters: Kelly-Jo (Rick) Hanson, Kristie Louise (Larry) Timmons and Wendy Lynn (Clarence) Hammond; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Alison and Michael VanNorman; brother-in-law, Paul (Karen) VanNorman; nieces and nephews: Camden, Ella and Riley VanNorman, Madelyn and Mackenzie Ayers, Rick, Alexandria and Brea Hanson and Nicolas Timmons; and grandma, Dorothy VanNorman. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Stephen S. Ayers. SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019, at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw. Pastor Ken MacGillvray will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. MEMORIALS: In honor of Matt's best friend, Buddy (who he rescued) please consider a donation to Amazing Grace Animal Rescue or your local animal shelter. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). 20 years ago, before I met Matt, I use to walk through Best Buy. Matt worked there and he set up all kinds of cool things that I remember looking at. If anyone can remember going to best buy and see Indiana Jones playing on all the monitors, well, that was Matt.
