Marion Birchmeier

Passed away early Wednesday morning, March 27, 2019 at The Meadows of Owosso, age 95. Marion was born on July 13, 1923 in Maple Grove Township, Michigan the daughter of Aloyious and Rose (Weisenberger) Gross. She was united to the late Gerald A. Birchmeier on May 30, 1942 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove Township, Michigan; he preceded her in death on January 25, 1991. Marion was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, K C #4232 Ladies Auxiliary, Senior Citizen Group and The Resurrection Choir. Marion is survived by son, Gerald A. (Patricia) Birchmeier of Las Vegas; son-in-law, Jerry (Avis) Cesal of New Lothrop; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Gerald, Marion was preceded in death by two sons, Jack (Barb) and George Birchmeier; one daughter, Janet Cesal; step-mother, Clara Gross; grandson, Michael Cesal; great-grandson, Cody Cesal and several brothers and sisters. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Marion will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 5376 State St, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate. Entombment to follow in St. Andrews Mausoleum. VISITATION: Friends and family may gather at the church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
