Angel Salcedo

Passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, March 19, 2019 at Ascension - St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital. Angel was born January 4, 1939 the son of Simon and Josephine (Ramirez) Salcedo Jr. in Saginaw, Michigan. Angel worked for GM for many years until his retirement. He loved all kinds of music and dancing. Angel was always jolly, fun to be around and all around good hearted man. He had many friends and loved spending time with family and friends; especially their children; he had a tender place in his heart for children. Angel also enjoyed being outdoors working in the yard. He had a passion for cooking and was a great cook. He was always there for his family and friends; he will be missed dearly. Angel is survived by his longtime companion; Trina Guerrero, four brothers and sister; Jesse, Antonio, Mario (Delores) Salcedo and Elizabeth Rasmussen, his best and dear friend Jerome (Camilla) Enriquez and their children and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Angel was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters; Simon Jr. and Carlos Salcedo, Josephine Rico, Cathy Lara, George and Margaret Salcedo. FUNERAL: A Funeral Mass for Angel will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. with Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFM Cap officiating. Rite of Committal to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the church Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
