Guadalupe Silva

Silva, Guadalupe G. of Saginaw Township, Michigan. Passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at McLaren Hospital Flint. He was 76 years old. Guadalupe was born January 12, 1943 in Lockhart, Texas to the late Jose and Eligia (Guerrero) Silva. He married the love of his life, Josephine Torres on March 17, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan. Guadalupe was employed by General Motors, retiring after 30 years. He loved playing pool and working on cars. Guadalupe also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He really enjoyed listening to music. Surviving are his wife, Josephine; children, Guadalupe Silva Jr., Lisa Silva, Anthony (Terry) Silva, Patricia (James) Silva-Doran, Angela M. Torres, Martin J. (Crystal) Silva, Miguel D. Silva; grandchildren, Corey (Keith), Myah, Emilio, Julia, Michael, Alyssa, Katie, Meghan, Anthony, J.D., Mary (Zeke), Abby, Katelyn, Daniel, and Derek; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Placido, Ignacio, Vicenta, and Jessie, and many nieces and nephews. MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot Ave. Saginaw, MI 48602. Pastor Donald Dinninger will officiate. In keeping with Guadalupe's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). VISITATION: Family and Friends will gather at the church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
