Carlo Cirilo

Passed away peacefully on February 3, 2019 at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. He was 87 years old. Carlo Cirilo was born on November 26, 1931 in Sinton, Texas to the late Francisco and Bartola (Garcia) Cirilo. He married Sallie Hernandez on November 16, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan, she survived him. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. Carlo worked for General Motors for over 25 years. He loved to spend time with his family telling jokes and sharing stories. Carlo was passionate about his faith and loved to share Jesus with those around him. If something was broken, Carlo could fix it. He also enjoyed music and dancing, fishing and gardening. Carlo will be deeply missed by his wife, Sallie; six children: Vincent A. Cirilo, Daniel R. Cirilo, Irene Cirilo, Margo Cirilo, Amalia (Michael) Cirilo-Baybeck and Martin L. Cirilo; 10 grandchildren: Mercedes, Esperanza, Vincent, Manuel, Andres, Marie, Annabelle, Isabella, Jason and Abigail; two brothers: Felix Cirilo and Domingo Cirilo; numerous nieces and nephews. Carlo was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Trinidad, Marcelino, Lupe, Francis and Demencio. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Carlo will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Rogelio Salazar. Military honors under the auspices of the United States Army and VFW Post #1859 will immediately follow the funeral service. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
