Obituary
Passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home at the age of 75. Ronald was born July 29, 1943 in Saginaw, MI the son of Curtis and Linda (Spitz) Dexter. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Engelke on June 2, 1973 in Saginaw, MI. Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ronald was a member of the American Legion, Post 439. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and playing cards and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Ronald especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 45 years; Shirley, his two children; Cheri (Joseph Crawley) Bordeau of Saginaw and David Dexter of FL, three grandchildren; Sara and Ethan Bordeau and Jenna Crawley, a brother; Gerald (Joanne) Dexter of Saginaw and many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin Dexter. FUNERAL: A funeral service for Ronald will take place Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd (off State). Pastor Paul Hinz will officiate. Interment to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Military Honors under the auspices of the United States Army will take place. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and again Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
