Obituary
Antonio Richard Melchor of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 72 years old. Antonio was born March 23, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Manuel and Dolores (Andrade) Melchor. He was cared for and raised by his loving sister Joanna, since he was 16 years old. Antonio was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua Site. Antonio was very outgoing and brightened the lives of everyone he met. He loved greeting his neighbors while taking his many daily walks through the neighborhood. Antonio had a fantastic work ethic and took pride in his work at SVRC Industries and volunteered at his local A&P store, Perry Drugs, and Speedway. His family meant everything to him and what he loved most, was spending time with his family and his friends. Antonio is survived by his siblings, Joanna Jones, Mary Helen (Fernando) Cisneros, Beatrice Cruz, Samuel (Ruby) Melchor, Arthur Melchor and Manuel (Eve) Melchor II; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Antonio was preceded in death by his sister, Grace Melchor; brother, Raphael Melchor; brothers-in-law, Ross Jones and Joe Cruz; aunt and uncle, Theresa and Ray Corona. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Antonio will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua site, 3680 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Gerald Pehler OFM Cap will officiate. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the church on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Tony always had a smile and friendly word for anyone of us in the neighborhood. I believe everyone loved him. Prayers for his family in this sad time.

Tio Tony was a very loving person. He would greet you with a big hug and so happy to see you, another hug. Tio Tony loved his mountain dew. He would even play hide and seek with all us cousins in Tia Juanita's basement. He has left us with so many memories, I could be here all day writing them down. And when it was time to leave again you get two big hugs always. Love you Tio Tony :two_hearts:

Tony was a happy man and loved family gatherings.He always had a big hug for any one.He liked to walk to the store and talk to people. We have not seen him in a few years, but family members would tell us how he was doing. Sending love to Juanita and the family.
