Obituary
Cesere, Rosa Adelina "Nina" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her home in Saginaw Township. She was 97 years old. Adelina R. Calvinisti was born May 28, 1921 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to the late Marcos and Drusulina (Garzaro) Calvinisti. She married Joseph L. Cesere on February 21, 1943. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2004. Adelina was a longtime and faithful member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Adelina loved music and met her husband while playing the piano. She also enjoyed playing the accordion with Joe. Adelina took great joy in traveling and going on motorcycle rides with her husband. Adelina is survived by three nephews, Peter (Pat) Cesere, Leo (Ann) Cesere and Rolando (Nancy) Grajeda; two nieces, Marianne ( Rodger Ramthun) Paquette and Kathleen Cesere; great-nieces and great nephews, Marc (Tom Brubaker) Cesere, Robert (Tina) Wenzel, Lisa M. (Tim) Naessens, Lisa A. Cesere, Bridget (Tim) Duniec, Todd (Phoebe) Cesere, Angela (Rob) Cesere, Mark (Nancy) Grajeda and many more nieces and nephews in Guatemala and California, special friends, Margaret Ancrum, Donna Rigda, Mickey Sampson and Mariana Coss. Adelina was preceded in death by her six sisters, Laura, Esther, Eleanor, Rachel, Mary and Virginia; four brothers, Arturo, Francisco, Alfredo and Marcos; two nephews, Robert Cesere and Jack Paquette. The family would also like to thank Jill Quinnan and Dr. Miles Light for the excellent and loving care that they provided to Adelina. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy for Adelina will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. William J. Rutkowski and Deacon Roger Pasionek, P.A. will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Deisler Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital. May 20, 1943 - diary from Joseph Cesere -- " went in to say goodbye to Adelina tonight stayed as long as possible. I hated like hell to leave as it will probably be the last time I'll see her. I told her I would come back for her or else I would send for her she promised to wait and said she would come if I sent for her"
