Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Brian's House in Essexville. She was 67 years old. Janet Marie Murray was born on August 5, 1951 in Bad Axe, Michigan to the late Clements and Ester (Fisher) Murray. Janet was a graduate of Bad Axe High School in 1969. She worked with Child Protective Services in Saginaw County from 1970-2002. Janet had a fun loving, happy and jovial spirit that touched many lives throughout her life. She would also provide you with the shirt off of her back if need. Janet is survived by her brothers, Paul (Cindy) Murray and Carl (Karyl) Murray; two nieces, Amanda (John) Matteson and Kristen (Katie) Murray; great nephew, Oliver Matteson; great nieces: Winnie Matteson and Joanie Murray; many cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her twin sisters: Carolyn Murray and Marilyn Zander. According to Janet's wishes cremation has taken place. There is no service planned at this time. Janet was a dear friend and a joy to be with and know. She was very witty and her fun sense of humor will be remembered by her friends and family. Always inventive in giving gifts, one never knew what she would come up with. Many sympathies to the Murray family and her friends. She was a dear heart..a lovely human being who made the world a brighter place.

Jan may be gone physically but her memory will be cherished by many. Her humor and kindness was rare. She seldom complained and took joy where ever she went. We will truly miss her at our monthly lunch outings. Deepest sympathy to your family

I'm so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. She had the best sense of humor. I met her through my mother when they worked together at Social Services. She lived in our home at one time and brought much laughter into it. Condolences to the family.

Jan was definitely a joy to work with as we worked together at DHS. My first and probably fondest memory was shortly after transferring to the Department Jan had a birthday. Some one had a stripper dressed in a gorilla costume come to the office. Jan could only laugh and was a great sport about it. It was fun and as I later learned so much in touch with Jan's personality. She added a special spice of life to the office.
