Rita Lamb

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Samaritus Senior Living of Saginaw. She was 84 years old. Rita A. Fischer was born on December 30, 1933, the daughter of George and Eva (Langeneker) Fischer. She was united in marriage to Robert Lamb on June 12, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan. Rita was very active in her church, especially the prayer chain and she loved watching her favorite sports teams. Rita is survived by her 4 children: Kari Lamb, Dave (Pat) Lamb, Julie (Mitchell) Pape and Steve (Michele) Lamb, 11 grandchildren: Travis, Alicia, Tyler, Derrick, Katrina, Austin, Jacob, Allison, Ryan, Adam and Brendan, 1 great-grandson: Travis, 1 brother: Kenneth (Dianne) Fischer, 1 sister-in-law: Judy Mendyk and 1 brother in-law: Gerald Krys. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Robert on August 5, 1997, 1 brother and 1 sister. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy for Rita will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 8, 2018. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State Street, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2-6 pm. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday from 9:30 until the time of service.
