Enedina Rodriguez

RODRIGUEZ, Enedina "Nena" of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper, surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old. Enedina Villegas was born on March 20, 1927 in San Marcos, Texas to the late Anastacio and Maria (Gauna) Villegas. She married Juan Rodriguez on December 14, 1947 in Texas. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2012, after 64 years of marriage. Enedina was a home maker, enjoyed dancing, and cooking the best Mexican food in Saginaw County for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She will be remembered for her guidance and her children being the love of her life. Surviving are three daughters and a son: Dora Linda Landin of Saginaw, Lilia (Carey) Moore of Saginaw, Julia (Bill) Mauws of Holland, and Lionel Rodriguez of Saginaw; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Pedro Villegas of Texas. Enedina was preceded in death by a son, Johnny G. Rodriguez. FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church - St. Anthony of Padua site, 3680 S. Washington. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris, OFMCap will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Enedina will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
