Troup, Paul E. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. He was 77 years old. Paul E. Troup was born on August 8, 1941 in Saginaw to the late Willis G. and Theodora K. (George) Troup. Paul E. Troup married Carol L. Green on March 12, 1960, she survives him. Paul earned his Master's Degree in Education from Central Michigan University. He taught at and retired from Bridgeport-Spaulding Schools. Following retirement, Paul and Carol enjoyed traveling and taking multiple cruises. He enjoyed watching sports and listening to music. Paul was a faithful member of Ames United Methodist Church. Paul is survived by his wife, Carol; children: Paul G. (Patricia Yanna) Troup and Heather (Brian) Leuenberger; grandchildren: John (fiancée, Stefanie Morency) Troup, Justin (Rebecca) Troup, Brice and Morgan Leuenberger and Brittany Yanna; two great-grandchildren: Peyton and Stella Troup. SERVICE: According to Paul's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Doug Mater will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 until the time of service. Mr. Troup was one of my favorite teachers at Thomas White. He helped keep me from getting into trouble and staying on the right path when I was going through a difficult time. Although he was hard on me, I appreciate it now. He was a special teacher and I will always remember him.
