Obituary
Meyer, Isabel M. "Desi" of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Francis Home. She was 90 years old. Isabel Margaret Jaime was born on May 18, 1928 in El Paso, Texas to the late Caterino and Concepcion (Castro) Jaime. She married David Meyer on March 13, 1948; he preceded her in death on September 22, 1991. Isabel graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. Isabel enjoyed her medical assistant career first at St. Luke's Hospital, then through a few physicians, but then retired from the late Dr. Charles Koenig offices. In her spare time, Isabel enjoyed to read, watching the Detroit Tigers, was an MSU fan, and playing pranks right up to the end. Isabel enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters and one son: Kathy (John) Russell, Nancy (Nick) Alfano, Hope (James) Krupa, and Mark (Kimmy) Meyer; son-in-law, Steve Felsing; 11 grandchildren: Anthony (Jennifer) Alfano, Matthew (Missy) Alfano, Brent (Melissa) Felsing, Morgan (Nate) Ruey, Reid (Sarah) Felsing, Meredith Krupa, Nicholas (Nataly) Alfano, David (Jenna) Alfano, Brad (Maggie) Meyer, Jake (Katrina) Meyer, and Aaron Krupa; 14 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Dylan, Ethan, Cecilia, Luke, Tommy, Wesley, Maxwell, Madeleine, Anderson, Eliza, Veda, Lukas, and Lennon; one sister, Juanita Chantaca; three sisters-in-law: Alex Jaime, Bea Furtaw, and Joan Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, David; two daughters, Victoria Meyer and Linda Felsing; two sisters, Lupe Glick and Rosa Zapata; three brothers, John Jaime, Jesse Jaime, and Robert Jaime. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at St. Francis Home for the loving care to their mother. FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastoral Associate Sharon Wahl will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will immediately follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to St. Francis Home, 915 N. We remember meeting Des for the first time at the wedding of Morgan and Nate. She appeared to be such a spunky, lovely little lady that was very much adored by her family. We know that you will miss her very much, but you are her legacy.....and what an accomplished and thoughtful group of descendants.
