Jeanne Taber

Taber, Jeanne Jo of Carrollton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper. She was 65 years old. Jeanne Jo McDonald was born on June 27, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Herbert A. and Lucille (Poet) McDonald. She married Philip B. Taber on May 4, 1974; he preceded her in death on January 23, 2018, after 43 years of marriage. Jeanne graduated from Carrollton in with the Class of 1971. She started out as an operator for Michigan Bell. Later, she attended Delta College to strengthen her administration skills as a church secretary for 22 years. In her spare time, Jeanne enjoyed the United Methodist Women's group with her sister, stained glass art, boating and the cottage with Philip, adult coloring books, and putting together puzzles. Jeanne enjoyed nothing more than her grandchildren and daschunds. Although Jeanne prized her family, we can only imagine how happy she is to now be reunited with her husband, Philip. Surviving are her daughter, Amy Anne (Aaron) Winslow; four grandchildren: Dillon McDonald Taber Winslow, Lily Erin Winslow, Silas Carter Winslow, and Ivy Mae Winslow; sister, Judy (David) O'Dell; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and daschund, Chloe. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Keri Jo. FUNERAL: A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Son-in-law, Aaron Winslow will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Cherry Grove Cemetery, Clare MI. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to The Diaper Alliance at https://www.thediaperalliance.org.
