Jerry Warzecha

Warzecha, Jerry R. of Birch Run, Michigan, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old. Jerry Rae Cummins was born on August 28, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late George and Ruth (Horn) Cummins. She married Stanley W. Warzecha on February 5, 1966; he preceded her in death on June 2, 2013, after 47 years of marriage. Jerry graduated from Saginaw High School. She worked at a bank, but later, would help in the office for the family business, Financial Services. Jerry and Stanley were both members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She loved to shop, her dog Sassy, playing games on the tablet, and watching the wildlife on the acres. Jerry cared more about everyone else, than even about herself. She loved her family and will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter and a son: Kim (Jeff) Thompson, Birch Run and Kevin (Jessi) Warzecha, Saginaw, MI; two grandsons, Brandon and Nicholas Thompson; a step-grandson, Josh "J.J." Weiss; and many nieces and nephews. Several brothers and sisters have predeceased her. FUNERAL: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. On Sunday evening, a Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. On Monday morning, Jerry will be taken to lie in state at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
