Wanda Reading

Reading, Wanda Ruth Midland, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Brittany Manor Nursing Home, Midland. She was 99 years old. Wanda Ruth Fellows was born on August 14, 1918 in Manton, Michigan to the late Lloyd and Blanche (West) Fellows. Wanda married Earl F. Reading on February 2, 1942, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2000. Wanda was raised on the west side of Michigan and worked for the Norge in Muskegon. She moved to Saginaw, where she and Earl raised their family. Wanda was a member of Moose Lodge #82, Saginaw. She enjoyed watching the Tigers play baseball and having a beer with family. Wanda's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Brittany Manor who provided wonderful care to Wanda for the last ten years. She is survived by her daughter: Sylvia VanDerleest; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Reading; seven grandchildren, Norman (Patti) Talmadge, Sue (Jeff) Larmore, Vern Talmadge, Steve Talmadge, Kristi (Dan) Brogan, Shari (Scott) Ellis and Brenda (Pat) Demo; many great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband; son, Arthur Reading; brothers, Glen, Arthur and Billy Fellows; and sisters, Myrtle Lodes, Christine VanFossen and Maxine Nichols. Respecting Wanda's wishes, cremation has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society.
