Thomas Halliday

Halliday, Thomas E. of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was 70 years old. Thomas E. Halliday was born on December 20, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William J. and Susie Belle (Ware) Halliday. He married the love of his life, Barbara Joy Kellogg on October 21, 1983 in Bridgeport; she preceded him in death on August 30, 2005. Tom was employed as a truck driver with L&B Cartage Inc., retiring after many years of service. He enjoyed playing pool, watching sports and spending time in the sunshine on the Florida beach. His whole life, Tom assumed the role of a caretaker, often going without so other could have. He will forever be remembered for his selflessness toward his family and for having an incredibly loving and giving heart. Surviving are a daughter, Tina Burton of Orange, CA; a sister, Patricia (James) Gronski of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother, Bill E. (Mona) Halliday of Saginaw; and a best friend, Al Bowman and his family of St. Charles. Also surviving are many grandchildren, a great-grandson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. Halliday. A Celebration Gathering will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Legends, 4142 W.
